Workshop | Red Willow Basket Weaving with Lyndon Linklater

Saturday, November 1, 2025, 12–5 PM

Join Traditional Knowledge Keeper Lyndon J. Linklater for a hands-on workshop in red willow basket weaving. Taught to Linklater by an Elder of the Whitecap Dakota First Nation, this craft reflects a tradition shared by many cultures, including both Indigenous and Ukrainian communities.

Participants will learn weaving techniques to create functional, beautiful baskets while exploring the cultural significance of this time-honoured art form. Suitable for beginners. All materials provided.

Fees: Members: $110 +tax
Non-members: $120 +tax
